Christina Penell
Hosting Institution: Scandiano
Hello.
My name is Christina ”Cia” Penell and I live in Åby, just outside Norrköping
with my husband Olle, who is a vicar. I´m 60 years old and I have three
children, 36, 34 and 30 years old. One girl and two boys. I also have 2
grandchildren 4 and 2 years old.
I like to spend time with my family, especially with the two wonderful granddaughters. I also like to travel to different countries. I´m interested in music, singing, reading and skiing downhill among others.
I have been working as a pre-school teacher for about 30 years both with
children aged 1-3 and from 1999 with children 3-5 years old. And I still
like my job. I´m looking forward going to Italy and see and learn about
Italian culture, lifestyle and pedagogy, especially of the pre-schools in
Reggio Emilia district. I´m interested to see and learn how they are constructed
and in what way they work.

Jennie Andersson
Hosting Institution: Parma
My name is Jennie Andersson. I am 40 years old and live in Motala, Sweden. I was born in South Korea, Seoul. I was 4 years old, when I came to Sweden. I grew up with my adoptive parents along with my older sister, who is also adopted from the same country. However, we are not biological sisters. I have 2 children, Viktor aged 16 and Alva who is 14 years. They live with me every other week, because I'm divorced. I now have a long distance relationship and commutes regularly between Motala and Stockholm.
I feel myself as a positive, open and cheerful. I hope that others around me feel the same. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones. They mean a lot to me. Great interest to me is cooking. I bid welcome home friends and family at dinners often. I appreciate good food very much. I love to travel, experience new places and experiencing other cultures and to meet new interesting and exciting people.
I have worked in Preschool since 1989. I have worked in many preschools, with many different ways to work. I have worked with Reggio Emilia inspired project since 2001. I and my colleagues then, read a lot of literature about Reggio Emilia. We attended lectures and made field trips to different preschools in Sweden. My approach as a teacher is listening, tolerant and open. I want all children to be a part of our business, become independent and aware of their learning process. I think it's important to have meaningful and learning activities throughout the day, both in everyday routines and planned pedagogical activities.
I think the best thing about working at preschool is when I get the children to share theirs thought and ideas and when I as an adult is involved in the children’s' joy to learn new things. To be involved in the children’s learning process, I feel that I as a teacher also develop.
I work at the preschool Ekparken, Motala for the last 3 years. We are currently
working on the project ”Fairytales”. We are a multicultural preschool and
we want to get inspired of our families’ cultures and different backgrounds.
Åsa Malmberg
Hosting Institution: Parma
Hello!
My name is Åsa Malmberg and I'm 39 years old. I live in Motala with my partner
Mikael and our two children Melker 7 years and Elsa 5 years.
For me, the family is important and we enjoy being together. I like to be out in the nature, and I like to do exercise, walking, running and cycling I have worked as a preschool teacher for 11 years and I still think it's just as stimulating. In my work at the preschool, I always have the child as main focus. For me it's important to be sensitive to children’s ideas and interests. I listen to children and through conversations and exploration, we lead the process forward.
When I studied at university, I read and was inspired by philosophy of
Reggio Emilia. I'm look forward to coming to Italy and learn about the Italian
preschool to gain insight into your educational activities, culture, lifestyle
and the good food.

My name is Veronica Hogström and I am 23 years old. I work in Mölndal, in the Nursery school Krokslätts förskola. I’ve only been working there since last august while I´ve just finished my studies.
I temporary live in Nygård, 5 miles north from Mölndal, at my mother’s home because of different reasons. My plan is to get an own apartment in Gothenburg closer to my work as soon as possible.
When I´m not working I like to play football, meet my friends, take long walks in the forest and I also very much like to paint different things. In the winter we (most of the time) have a wonderful landscape with a lot of snow and then I like to go for skiing holidays.
I am now working with children between 0 and 3 years old and it is wonderful to come to work in the morning and see all the happy faces and hear and see all the things this little people manage to do!
I´m really looking forward to the exchange and for having the possibility
to workshadow in another land with different culture! I want to learn more
about everything so this a fantastic oppurtunity!

Elisa Bianchi
Hosting Institution: Ale
Hello, my name is Elisa Bianchi. I was born in Forlì on 08 June 1981 and work for about 4 years at the pre-school Mons. Achille Lega of Meldola.
I really love my job, I like being with the kids and I never get tired of reading the amazement and wonder in their eyes to things that to us may appear obvious. Sometimes I say to them that they are the ones teaching me and not I who teaches them.
I am very excited to be a part of this educational exchange,
I expect that it will be a truly beautiful experience that will enrich my
cultural background. Hear from you soon, I offer you my warmest greetings.
